This foundation was created because its founders wanted to give back to their communities. Because this foundation was founded with deep spiritual and community based values, there are strict expectations about ethical conduct with the Foundation. Persons working for the Foundation may not sit on the board of organizations applying for funding from the Foundation, nor may they receive gifts or services from organizations applying for funding from the Foundation. The Foundation will strive to fulfill the mission with respect, integrity and consideration.

Most Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation awards are grants for special projects. Special projects include, but are not limited to, capital projects, innovation grants, special programs, and programmatic expansion.

We have two grant cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall. See our Application Process for deadlines.
